LONG BEACH, NJ, March 09, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein has released 'Next Year In Jerusalem Part Two: Around Every Corner Mystery & Romance in the Holy Land'. The new romance novel is the second in the 'Jerusalem Trilogy'.
Dr. Holstein is a very successful author across many genres. The human spirit, with its capacity for survival, growth and joy, has always been a subject of interest for Dr. Holstein. Now, taking her interest in romance novels to a new level, she has produced the 'Jerusalem Trilogy'. Combining her talents as a writer and a psychologist has resulted in a storyline filled with romance, intrigue, mystery, and spiritual awakenings.
"The amazing thing about good romantic fiction," stated Dr. Holstein, "is it gives the reader a chance to experience different feelings and behaviors with no damage done. A romance book can move the reader to tears and passion, and it can also move her to try new actions and decisions in her own life. So in reality a good romance novel like any other great read can be just the 'medicine' one needs to improve one's own life."
In 'Next Year In Jerusalem', two women face extraordinary circumstances in one of the most spiritual, mysterious, romantic cities in the world. Part 2 in this trilogy expands upon the adventures of Natalie and Maggie, best friends since college, who find themselves steeped in the romance, mysticism and mystery of Jerusalem.
The appearance of Jack, a diamond dealer and Natalie's old boyfriend from college, creates incredible tension for Natalie, causing her to wonder if she can keep her marriage intact. Maggie is mesmerized also by a new man in her life: Raji from India.
The mystery woman, Chaya Sarah, continues to share profound spiritual wisdom. Teaching Natalie the concept of 'soul mate' helps Natalie revive her marriage, at least for a night. However Chaya Sara's secrecy about herself baffles them, and concern grows that Chaya Sarah may be involved in more than meets the eye. A last minute surprising upset, centered around Chaya Sarah frightens them and they realize they may be dealing with intrigue and terrorism.
A recent reviewer stated "I traveled to Israel vicariously through the characters and with them enjoyed each step along the cobbled streets of ancient Jerusalem. Barbara Becker Holstein weaves themes of friendship, love, spirituality, and mystery, engaging the reader from the start. I look forward to the next installment!"
A Facebook page has been created for the work, titled 'Next Year In Jerusalem'. A YouTube channel, 'NextYearNJerusalem' is also available. 'Next Year In Jerusalem Part Two: Around Every Corner Mystery & Romance in the Holy Land' is available in print and in Kindle format. More information is available at Dr. Holstein's website.
