Search by Burke CEO brings years of online and offline marketing experience

Charlene Burke, CEO of Search by Burke a Louisville area digital marketing agency, has been elected to the Association of Independent Information Professionals Board of Directors as Director of Marketing.

In this role, Burke will be sharing the responsibilities of creating and overseeing the implementation of marketing efforts for the association with another Board Member. Burke says, "I'm looking forward to working with amazing business owners and researchers in the association. Every committee I've served on, and every Board member I've met, has been focused on the value that the association brings to its members. And I want to make sure that the message of AiiP to the world is consistent with that focus."

Bringing many years of marketing experience, including 5 years of owning a digital marketing agency, Burke understands the value of consistent messaging throughout all marketing channels. Strategizing and creating successful marketing campaigns while building a positive reputation for the business is one of her core skills that she brings to the Board position. In addition, her ability to manage website development projects and general operations will be put to use to ensure that the new AiiP website is of value to both the membership and the potential member.

The Association of Independent Information Professionals (AiiP) is the premier industry association for information professionals working independently. The organization's membership consists of more than 500 business owners from more than 25 countries. The Association publishes a quarterly member publication, sponsors a private electronic discussion list for networking and AIIP business, presents professional development webinars for members, negotiates with industry partners for preferred pricing for AIIP members, exhibits at trade shows, and holds a conference and annual meeting each spring.
