SAN DIEGO, CA, October 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) HirePatriots, a national organization serving US Military members, veterans and their families through a unique community job board, is rapidly expanding across the United States. HirePatriots has provided employment assistance to thousands of veterans and their families since beginning this service more than 6 years ago in San Diego, California.
No longer just focused on West Coast Veterans, HirePatriots enhanced its leadership team, repositioned its strategy and formed strategic alliances with veteran owned businesses and patriotic local business partners to provide services to Veterans and their families across the United States.
"With the assistance of new partners who are passionate about helping to provide employment opportunities for our nation's defenders, we are expanding to every state in the union," according to Mark Baird, Founder and President of HirePatriots. "HirePatriots is dedicated to helping this generation of veterans avoid the fate of Vietnam era vets, and to transition successfully back into our society as important and vital contributors to our country." HirePatriots wants to ensure these new vets have every opportunity to not end up like many Vietnam vets who are plagued with alcohol and drug problems and are part of the homeless population across the United States.
"As a veteran, I am extremely proud to be the Colorado regional leader of this organization," said Brad Gallup owner of Cable-Safe and sponsor of HirePatriots Colorado. "I believe in what Mark and Tori Baird are doing to better the lives of military members, veterans, and their families." Gallup served as both a sergeant in the Marine Corps and a Fighter Aircraft Maintenance Officer in the Air Force.
HirePatriots helps connect military members, veterans, and their families with One-Day, part-time, and full-time employment in their area. The goal is to help veterans find jobs, including One-Day jobs until they find a full-time career.
The One-Day job board is a free job board where community residents post chores or repairs they need done around their homes. US Military, veterans and their spouses take these jobs to earn the extra income they need to provide for themselves and their children.
Businesses are also encouraged to post part-time and full-time employment opportunities. The job board is free for businesses that want to post employment opportunities and to search resumes posted by vets.
HirePatriots is looking for serious business partners to help their growth and expansion to communities across the nation. Partnering with this organization allows businesses to not only provide a life impacting service for veterans, but also grow their businesses in the process.
Tom Rippy and his wife Caroline became the South Carolina regional leaders and sponsors of HirePatriots South Carolina, after they learned about the mission and realized what this organization was doing for veterans and their families. "I am a ten year veteran that served in the Air Force both as enlisted and as an officer. My military career gave me a new perspective on accountability and the value of it in everyday life," said Rippy, who owns and operates Lighthouse Tax Service in Ladson, South Carolina with his Caroline. "It has schooled me in the fact that if I help others get what they want then what I need automatically comes back to me." Rippy is passionate in his belief that his HirePatriots involvement came from a higher calling.
