SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, NY, March 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Once in a while a movie comes along that tugs at the strings of your life.
It happened once again. When Reiko Brown wrote Product Of My Environment little did she know the strong reaction she would receive. Since the publication in May 2010, there has been a special community event in her honor, many interviews, #4 Book Of The Year from Conversations Magazine, a song titled Product Of My Environment in her honor by theonekemist, now the short film Product Of My Environment is premiering on March 16, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The premiere for Product Of My Environment The Short Film will take place at the acclaimed Black Spectrum Theatre, Roy Wilkins Park, 177th St & Baisley Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11434
How often does a story inspire so much love from the community. This story is painful and hopeful. Designed to open dialogue and inspire people to change their life. This is a story of a young woman growing up in New York City in the 1970's and early 80's. Drugs, crime, violence, murder, gangs, abuse and more follow her where ever she goes. How does she deal with it. How would you deal with it.
