SALT LAKE CITY, UT, March 16, 2013 (Press-News.org) FC Organizational Products LLC, the official consumer products licensee of the FranklinCovey Co. brand, today announced the recipients of its annual vendor and products awards. Winning businesses represent emerging and established innovators in the electronics accessories industry including Booq, OGIO, United by Blue, iLuv, The Couponizer, and Vendor-of-the-Year recipient McKlein.
The award winners were notified of their respective selections on February 11 and 12. Each winner received a genuine crystal trophy commemorating the honor.
FC Organizational Products' award winners are spread across the company's various retail divisions which include FranklinPlanner, Geekorize and The Organized Parent. Each recipient was selected based on a range of criteria that factored in sales volume, percentage of growth, market demand, innovation in design and customer feedback.
FranklinPlanner Vendor of the Year: McKlein USA
The well-known brand of high-quality leather and imitation leather bags, totes and cases secured its place as FranklinPlanner's top vendor for a number of reasons. "McKlein is a long-standing vendor whose line has thrived in our channels," explained FC Organizational Products' VP of Product Development, Steve Shumway. "Their sales continue to stay strong not only because they make exceptional products, but also because they have actively participated in partnering efforts and promotions that have helped us expand their presence even more."
FranklinPlanner Product of the Year: Booqpad by Booq
Booq has made the best even better, with its release of a mobile office designed exclusively for the iPad. Crafted from high-quality materials including Nappa leather, the Booqpad (MSRP: $49.95 to $99.95) features space for a paper notepad, pen or stylus, and business cards. "The Booqpad launched mid-year 2011 and immediately was a winner simply because it does such a beautiful job of combining the best of classic and contemporary organization," Shumway noted.
FranklinPlanner Best New Organizing Product: Brooklyn Shoulder Bag by OGIO
OGIO's Brooklyn cross-body bag (MSRP: $44.95) is a "great representation of the marriage between beauty and function and offers more organization than just about any bag on the market today" said Shumway. Within the bag's fashionable exterior lies technologically sound construction that includes a fully padded zipper pocket for electronics, two large main compartments, a fully featured organization panel and high visibility lining for easy access to gear.
FranklinPlanner Best "Green" Product: Organic Canvas Messenger Bag by United by Blue
United by Blue's classic, durable messenger bag (MSRP: $89.95) is constructed from thick, waxed cotton canvas and features rich leather details to give it a touch of rustic personality. According to Shumway, "United by Blue has a great back-story of giving back to the eco-system by using proceeds from every purchase to organize ocean and waterway cleanup projects. This bag has sold well and offers a unique combination of design, eco-friendliness, and a vendor supported effort to keep our planet clean."
Geekorize Product of the Year: Portfolio Jacket with Bluetooth Keyboard by iLuv
The iLuv Portfolio Jacket (MSRP: $99.95) features a detachable Bluetooth keyboard that seamlessly connects to iPads to provide a natural typing experience and includes dedicated keys to execute important iPad functions.
Geekorize Geek's Choice Award: The Workstation by iLuv
iLuv scores yet again on Geekorize.com, with another design that Shumway said "offers great design, an innovative concept, and unquestionably appeals to all levels of geekdom." The iLuv Workstation (MSRP: $144.95) turns iPads into fully functioning work and entertainment environment, and comes complete with a slide-out keyboard, articulating viewing arm and sophisticated audio system. A swiveling dock lets users view iPads in both horizontal and vertical configurations, and even can accommodate iPhones.
The Organized Parent Customers' Choice Award: The Couponizer
What started as one mother's homemade coupon organizer has evolved into the top-selling coupon organizing shopping system in North America. The Couponizer (MSRP: $19.95) gives users the tools to organize every type of coupon in an accessible manner, helping save both time and money. "Thoughtful innovation, consistent sales, and customer responses pushed this to the top of the selection list," Shumway said.
