BARRIE, ON, CANADA, March 21, 2013 (Press-News.org) On Monday, March 18th the staff at NetGain took part in the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Bowl for Kids event in Barrie, Ontario. The event brought together various teams throughout the community in a fun but inspiring bowling competition. Everyone involved had to raise a minimum of $25 in donations with all proceeds helping the local branch of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Barrie.
Nearly the entire staff at NetGain took part in the event; Drew Dekker, CEO of NetGain was proud to be a part of a community charity event that works directly with the local community. He stated, "We are always looking for ways to support and give back to the community and this was an excellent way for us to get out of the office and do some team building while supporting the Big Brothers and Big Sisters here in Barrie." NetGain has a mandate of supporting local charities whenever possible and actively participates in many fundraisers including the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival, Bowl for Kids, Movember and many other initiatives.
The Bowl for Kids event brought out generous donations not only from NetGain, but all of the businesses and individuals who took part in the event including Busch Systems. With the help of Busch systems, NetGain was able to exceed its final fundraising goal for the event; final numbers are still being calculated. Even one of our very own NetGain bowling teams won an award for outstanding team spirit and our senior graphic designer nearly scored a perfect score of 199!
The Bowl for Kids event saw NetGain's Head of Web Development, Andrew Macpherson take top bowler honors with his score of 199, which featured four consecutive strikes. There are already talks of how we can increase our fundraising efforts for next year's Bowl for Kids event.
