RALEIGH, NC, March 22, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers more than 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced that the school will host its inaugural commencement ceremony Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. at the Perimeter Studio & Conference Center, located at 1100 Perimeter Park Dr., Suite 118 in Morrisville, N.C. The first graduating class will consist of approximately 20 excited, prepared and marketable graduates of culinary arts and pastry arts.
Chef Keith Rhodes, executive chef and owner of Catch, a restaurant located in Wilmington, N.C., has been named as the 2013 commencement speaker. Rhodes, known for his upscale, low-country cuisine mixed with worldly influences and unique plating presentations, will address the Morrisville campus' first graduating class as they prepare to embark on their own culinary adventures. A James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef Southeast and a Season 9 contestant on Bravo TV's Top Chef Texas, Rhodes participated in The Chef's Academy's 2nd Annual Triangle Chef Showdown competition.
