Award Recognizes Outstanding Contributions to the ASCDC

2013-03-24
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Horvitz & Levy LLP announces that partner Lisa Perrochet received the first annual President's Award from the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC). The award was presented at the organization's annual seminar luncheon on March 1, 2013.

"Lisa's recognition by the ASCDC is well-deserved," said partner David Axelrad. "This is an organization she has dedicated much time and effort to, and this award is a fitting tribute to her continued contributions to advance the organization's mission to promote the administration of justice, provide education to the public about the legal system, and enhance the standards of civil litigation and trial practice in this state."

The ASCDC President's Award recognizes members for outstanding contributions to the organization. In receiving the award, Perrochet was praised for her tireless work to the organization. A long-time board member of ASCDC, Perrochet has worked since 2001 on creating and editing content for the organization's Verdict magazine, of which she is editor-in-chief. In that capacity Perrochet brings to bear her wordsmithing skills honed as a certified appellate specialist whose practice focuses on defense against consumer law litigation and punitive damages claims; toxic torts; products and premises liability; insurance coverage and bad faith litigation; professional ethics and professional liability. In addition to handling hundreds of appeals and writ proceedings, Perrochet has authored articles and presented legal seminars on a range of legal topics for law reviews, magazines and practice guides. She also authors the "Green Sheets," a feature of Verdict covering new cases of interest to the defense counsel members and judges statewide who receive each issue of the magazine. Perrochet also recently led the effort to update the ASCDC's website.
