The Return to the Earth's Primordial Wisdom on March 26 "Why Shamanism Now?" with Christina Pratt

On her show "Why Shamanism Now?", shaman and host Christina Pratt talks to shaman John Luke-Edwards about we've lost our connection to the earth, land, plants, and animals and how we can reestablish that vital and life-giving connection.

2013-03-24
JERSEY CITY, NJ, March 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Streaming live on the Co-Creator Radio Network (www.co-creatornetwork.com) on Tuesday, March 26, at 11 a.m. Pacific time/2 p.m. Eastern time, on her show "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity," shaman and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt notes that the ancient stories of myth and religion speak of a time on earth when the land, the plants, animals, birds, bugs, and humans all communicated together, clearly and simply. Then the humans did something—something that is no longer quite clear—and we lost our ability to communicate directly. According to Pratt, we wandered off, distracted by sparkly things and instant gratification, and grew addicted to the stimulus of life disconnected from all that we were originally one with. Humans forgot the paths to return home. What if we could remember the path back to the forest?

Join us this week and host and shaman, Christina Pratt, explores the possibility of returning home to the forest with Rev. Shaman John-Luke Edwards of the Wolven Path Tradition, a shamanic tradition rebirthed from nomadic shamanic traditions of northern Europe. With our reconnection to "The Forest" we can reconnect with our knowing that all life communicates. And together with all life humans can innovate and successfully navigate a sustainable path forward that reconciles the dynamics of our shared global crisis. Return to the Forest this May at the 5th Residential BC Shamanic Conference Gathering for all who want to create a way to live in Oneness with all living things.

Christina Pratt is an authentic, non-traditional contemporary shaman. In practice since 1990, she specializes in mending the soul and transforming the parts of life that feel impossible. A teacher of exceptional clarity, humor, and inspiration, Pratt brings the power of shamanism into the practical grasp of anyone willing to take responsibility for improving the quality of their life. Her well-received book, An Encyclopedia of Shamanism (Rosen), is an 800-page, two-volume set with over 750 in-depth entries that clearly discuss the basic concepts of shamanism, methods, and traditions of over 50 different shamanic peoples. Pratt is the founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing in Portland, OR, and New York, NY, creator of the original Foundations of Shamanism and Shamanic Healing course at the University of Minnesota, and a frequent and honored speaker for the American Holistic Medical Association.

Reverend Shaman John-Luke Edwards, MA, PhD., is an ordained shaman of The Wolven Path, which is a rebirth of an ancient Celtic/Druidic form of shamanism. Reverend Shaman is a title of self reverence, related to the sacrifice of continuous learning and the selfless journey of being in shamanic service to the Sacred Earth and Her Children, as well as of a focused visible reverence for the Sacred Journey of all our relations no matter how they or their journeys manifest. Shamanic Clergy illuminate the path for others by setting their own hearts and souls aflame; they are light bearers and song carriers. Shamanic Clergy share, teach and proclaim the Shamanic Way of living; are principal agents of the aims and mission of The Society and its ministerial work; and officiate at public ceremony.
