Chattanooga Bankruptcy Lawyers, Clark & Washington, Discuss Popcorn Lung Couple Money Troubles

The Chattanooga bankruptcy law firm, Clark & Washington, would like to discuss the famous popcorn lung couple Eric and Cassandra People's recent bankruptcy filing.

2013-03-27
NORCROSS, GA, March 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Chattanooga bankruptcy law firm, Clark & Washington, want to discuss the recent financial shortcomings of the famous popcorn lung couple. We have all heard the stories of people suing large corporations and winning huge settlements. As was the case for Eric and Cassandra Peoples, a couple who sued the firm International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. for their failure to warn consumers about risks associated with consuming the artificial butter flavoring they make for popcorn. Eric was diagnosed with popcorn lung, a rare condition that has been linked to workers in the popcorn making industry. According to the Chattanooga bankruptcy attorneys, diacetyl is the chemical that is used to give the butter flavorings its smell and taste. When heated, this chemical emits a toxic gas that can cause breathing problems, hence the name "popcorn lung." The jury awarded the Peoples $20 million in damages in 2004, but the Chattanooga bankruptcy firm notes that this money is long gone.

The Chattanooga Bankruptcy Law Firms Notes the Atypical Filing

Due to financial straits, the couple has been forced to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy; owing $611,000 in liabilities with $33,000 in assets, the bankruptcy has been filed under what appears to be unusual circumstances. It has not been determined how much of the money was dispersed to the couple's attorney and Eric's co-workers, as this was who they initially stated a percentage of their winnings would go to. The bankruptcy attorneys in Chattanooga do want to mention that the couple's home has been appraised at nearly $4 million, which might indicate why the builder they hired filed a lawsuit against them due to their failure to pay him. Check for Termites in Trees with Home Inspection, Advise Atlanta Tree Removal Experts, Yellow Ribbon

2013-03-27
Yellow Ribbon Tree Experts, a premier Atlanta tree service company, wants to remind residents of the importance of checking their trees when having a termite inspection done. Most people (professional exterminators included) tend to concentrate all attention on the home itself. This can be misleading, however, as termites tend to live in trees on the premises of a host environment before moving in. If you fail to inspect your trees, you are running the risk of missing the source of the issue. This is why many homeowners are confused when termite damage is discovered; ...

That's where Connecticut-based independent operators Jeff and Sarah Taylor come in. The owners of Watchitnowdvd.com launched their movie rental kiosk at Jojo's convenience store and gas station this month, and right now it's the only game in this seaside town. Revolutionary Dry Skin Lotion Targets Cause of Eczema, Then Helps Diabetic Patients!

2013-03-27
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development participated in a past study that showed a defective skin barrier may lead to skin conditions including eczema. Scientists suspect that the breakdown is due to a combination of factors - a genetic predisposition to thin skin, which is then easily damaged by moisture loss and irritation caused by overheating, cold weather, dry winds and exposure to chemical irritants like soap or detergents. One thing is certain, while thin skin is more susceptible to developing eczema, exposure to irritants is often the key ...
