NEW YORK, NY, October 27, 2010 (Press-News.org) Global Intelligence Alliance (GIA), a global strategic market intelligence and advisory group, has announced the official launch of its anticipated Social Media Monitoring service. The service is designed to meet the specific needs of business decision makers in international companies.
Application areas for the service include monitoring needs in strategic planning, innovation management and new product development, supply chain management as well as corporate relations and responsibility.
Monitoring can range from GIA analysts tracking a shortlisted set of high priority sites for clients, such as competitor or industry blogs and discussion forums, all the way to full scale monitoring of activity that is taking place in more than 100 million sites and sources. Examples include social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, video sharing sites as well as local language social media platforms
GIA analysts in local offices help extract value and insights, which can be visually presented for ease of reference. Analytical reports that summarize the trends and themes developing in the social media space are sent to clients on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on the clients' needs. In addition, information feeds can be delivered to allow real time access to social media discussions as they happen.
GIA has partnered with leading technology providers for advanced monitoring and analysis tools that enable timely identification of emerging discussion topics; breaking down the conversations by type of media, location of discussions and numerous other perspectives that may help clients react effectively to market signals detected in social media.
The GIA Social Media Monitoring service covers languages such as English, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese.
The consulting firm will offer the service across all its industry practices, namely Automotive, Chemicals, Construction and Property Development, Consumer and Retail, Energy, Resources and Environment, Financial services, Private Equity, Logistics and Transportation, Manufacturing and Industrial, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare as well as Telecommunication, Technology and Media.
"We have seen increasing interest among our clients to be aware of discussions in social media related to their industry. The services we have now launched are specifically designed to meet the needs of decision makers to not only monitor what is being said about their own company and brand, but to take a broader look and understand how conversations and opinions related to the competition, industry and broader business environment, may have impact on their business. Our social media monitoring service is a natural extension to the range of analytical market monitoring we already provide to our clients through our unique Intelligence Desk service, which is always customized according to our clients' needs," said Ville Vanhala, Senior Vice President of Information Resources at Global Intelligence Alliance.
