BELLEVUE, WA, March 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Brushing is important: if you don't brush, your teeth won't be clean. Same goes for flossing. Flossing gets rid of those pesky bits of food in-between your teeth. But what about keeping your teeth STRAIGHT? At Advanced Orthodontics, we understand the needs and expectations of our patients, and we work hard to provide an orthodontic experience that is just as unique as your smile! We work with you and your budget.
But great smiles don't just happen. Perfect teeth often depend on the guidance and vision of your local certified Invisalign orthodontist Dr. Barton Soper at Advanced Orthodontics in Bellevue, WA. In fact, at Advanced Orthodontics, we can get your teeth on the right track no matter what your age!
Modern Technology Leads to Beautiful Smiles
Today's technology, patients now have many options when it comes to wearing braces during orthodontic treatment. While traditional metal braces are still widely used, clear braces are becoming increasingly popular, as well as invisible removable aligners (Invisalign) that can be worn by patients self-conscious about treatment.
SureSmile is a Sure Thing
SureSmile Digital diagnosis software that aids Dr. Soper in 3D visualization of the future positions of teeth. 3D diagnostic imaging and diagnosis provides the most accurate measurements of the patient's teeth and then allows true personalization for the patient's smile. Not only is this treatment more accurate, the results are 20%-40% faster traditional braces. It may even be faster than Invisalign for your care.
Self-Ligating Braces
Self-ligating brackets are relatively new to orthodontics. These high-technology brackets have replaced the prior style of brackets that have colored rubber ties with an "openable gate" which is far more hygienic with less plaque retention than rubber ties. The way the gate engages the wire in each slot determines how the tooth moves. Depending on which manufacturer produces the bracket, the brackets have varying levels of interactivity-how tightly the bracket hugs the wire for tooth movement.
Self-ligating brackets allow the orthodontist to choose the average three dimensional position each tooth will occupy in the future. Once the teeth are generally aligned, the orthodontist hand-bends the final wires to the patient's personal best bite position to get the final tooth position prescribed.
At Advanced Orthodontics, our orthodontists take technology to the level beyond the brackets. While still using self-ligating brackets, we replace hand bent wires with robotically bent ones that are more accurate than a human can bend. Dr. Soper prescribes this three dimensional bite position to a robot for a series of personalized wires. Just like in the rest of medicine with microscopic surgeries, robots are the most accurate treatment assistants to doctor today.
Remember, Braces can improve function of the bite and teeth, improve ability to clean the teeth, prevent wear on the teeth, and increase the longevity of natural teeth over a lifetime.
A Big Commitment
Getting braces is a big commitment. But it's a move that will lead to the healthy smile you've always dreamed of. With a free consultation, there's really no reason not to make an appointment. At Advanced Orthodontics our goal is to create beautiful, healthy smiles for our patients that will be valued for a lifetime along with outstanding customer service and the most advanced orthodontic treatment delivery available today!
