COLUMBIA, MD, March 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Eric Chang, founder of Columbia Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, a leading provider of plastic surgery in the Baltimore area has been named to the exclusive list of U.S. News Top Doctors.
The list includes 31,000 doctors nationwide in a variety of specialties who have been nominated by their peers and vetted by a physician-led research team. "I was happy to learn that I was included in this list," says Dr. Chang. "It's especially flattering to learn that your peers have recommended you for a distinction like this."
Voted as one of mid-Maryland's top reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeons in the Baltimore region in Frederick Magazine in 2006, Dr. Chang is not unfamiliar with receiving the distinction of "top doctor." Now Dr. Chang is receiving national recognition from U.S. News.
"It's nice to receive praise for something that you just enjoy doing, your passion," says Dr. Chang. " I love what I do...meeting people, helping them look great and feel more confident. I get to apply my knowledge and express my creativity. It's very rewarding. The fact that others have recognized and appreciate what I do is all the more rewarding. It's humbling and inspiring."
Dr. Chang was recognized for his outstanding work in the field of plastic surgery. By including him on this list, U.S. News is essentially recommending him to patients seeking plastic surgery. This can range from those who need reconstructive surgery for congenital defects to women seeking breast implants in Columbia.
New York City-based Castle Connolly has been working to identify top doctors as a resource for consumers for about 20 years. Candidates for the honor are nominated by other doctors. Doctors cannot apply or pay to be added to this list. The nominated doctors are then evaluated by a physician-directed research team before being confirmed to the list of U.S. News Top Doctors.
Dr. Eric Chang is a board-certified plastic surgeon who performs reconstructive and cosmetic enhancement procedures at his practice, Columbia Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which serves the greater Baltimore area. After earning his medical degree from Columbia University's prestigious College of Physicians and Surgeons, he went on to complete residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at Stanford University. He has been recognized as a "Top Doc" by Frederick Magazine and holds surgical privileges at multiple hospitals in Maryland.

As with any form of plastic surgery, facelift surgery, known medically as "rhytidectomy," is a complex ...
