Hooked Debuts New Discovery Platform for App Developers, Boomerang

Hooked debuts Boomerand

2013-03-28
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Hooked today debuts a new platform for app developers, Boomerang, an extension to its existing app discovery platform and game discovery engine for Google Play. Boomerang is solving the problem of discovery for game app developers by leveraging its intelligent prediction engine - based on user behavior and advanced algorithms - to promote apps to the right user. Now, app developers can increase their exposure among users with a greater potential for installs and user retention.

According to recent studies, by 2015 ad spending on mobile games is expected to reach nearly $900 million globally. However, the problem lies in the number of advertising platforms that drive incentivized installs, which leads to lower user retention, a higher likelihood of uninstalls and a lower ROI for developers. Boomerang is connecting users to apps by applying non-incentivized installs and driving users who are organically interested in a particular app. This increases audience growth as well as game monetization for app developers.

"With over 250,000 games in the Google Play marketplace, app discovery is a serious issue for app developers," said Hooked CEO, Prita Uppal. "Discovery is even more difficult for smaller companies and start-ups which is why we developed Boomerang. Large companies have the luxury of spending millions to push their apps into the featured lists of many app stores; the purpose of Boomerang is to level the playing field for small and big app developers alike with one key element - personalization. We wanted to offer an affordable service to developers so they could promote apps to appropriate audiences and really find their intended user; that's exactly what we did with Boomerang."

Hooked is aiding app developers in discover and increasing visibility with packages as low as $25.
