GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO, March 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Construction is underway on a multifamily apartment community in the Denver Tech Center that will offer residents luxury housing with easy access to employment, restaurants, retail, and is set within the Cherry Creek School District, The Picerne Group announced today.
Slated to open in spring 2014, the 248-unit, high-quality community is set on 8.7 acres and just a quarter mile walk to the Orchard Station light rail stop and a 15-minute ride to downtown Denver.
"The community will appeal to a variety of individuals, from the young employees who work in the Denver Tech Center to the young families who want to live within the Cherry Creek School District and to those who are looking to downsize and move out of their single family homes," said Christopher Davis, managing director in Denver for The Picerne Group, a real estate investment firm based in Southern California. "This is a high-end neighborhood and our new community will contribute to the overall quality and desirability of the area."
Located on the Denver Tech Center Parkway, the community will offer a combination of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units set in buildings of two to three stories with tuck-under garages. Residents will enjoy state-of-the-art finishes, stainless steel appliances, granite kitchen countertops, nickel finish lighting packages, washer/dryers, ceiling fans, fireplaces, and vinyl plank flooring. Common amenities include a resort-style pool and spa, barbecue grills, a fitness center, clubhouse, business center, conference room, pet wash, cafe, sports and commuter lounge, and WiFi in common areas.
Exteriors feature brick and stucco facades with metal railings and pitched tile roofs. Mature trees and open green spaces combine to lend the property a park-like ambiance.
The project is being developed in partnership with Grand Peaks Properties, founded by the Simpson family, known for their extensive experience in condominium and apartment development around the country and specifically in the Denver Tech Center.
"The Simpsons have developed in the Tech Center for over 20 to 30 years," said Davis. "That experience speaks volumes. They've owned this land for several years and developed the adjacent property. We share a strong alliance with Grand Peaks Properties; we're all in the same business and there is a great track record between our two companies."
The general contractor is Colorado Structures, Inc., and the architect is the KTGY Group, Inc.
