DENVER, CO, October 27, 2010 (Press-News.org) Oniqua Enterprise Analytics (www.oniqua.com), the leading provider of analytics-based MRO optimization solutions for asset-intensive organizations, today announced that Lindsay Clarke, Oniqua's President of the Americas, will speak at the GBI Mining Intelligence conference entitled "2010 Surface Mining Asset Optimization" on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 8:30 AM CDT. The conference will take place Monday, November 1 through Friday November 5, at the Hilton - Milwaukee City Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The conference is designed to provide knowledge and up-to-date information on what surface mines are achieving with their equipment, and what suppliers and organizations around the world are doing to add real value to their operations. Milwaukee has been chosen as the venue to allow visits to Bucyrus International, Inc., P&H Mining Equipment and Caterpillar, Inc. (Peoria) facilities.
"I am honored to have been invited to speak at GBI Mining's inaugural event focusing on the optimization of mining assets," stated Lindsay Clark, President of the Americas, Oniqua Enterprise Analytics. "GBI Mining defines asset optimization as 'understanding and delivering equipment capability in performance and cost', and an advanced analytics approach provides an ideal way of accomplishing this. Smart mining organizations like Rio Tinto, Vale and Drummond Company are increasingly turning to the use of advanced analytics to better leverage company data and find ways to improve asset and business performance, and I look forward to sharing how some specific mining companies have done so with great success."
In the session entitled, "Get the Most out of Your Assets - An Analytics-based Approach to MRO Optimization", Mr. Clarke will present case studies from the mining industry and outline how an analytics-based approach can deliver significant operational savings through improved asset performance and maintenance.

Lindsay Clarke is a seasoned veteran with over 17 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development for technology and mining companies. Mr. Clarke's expertise in international sales and marketing has specifically resulted in strong growth for Oniqua's North American operations, as he understands the unique challenges that asset-intensive industries like mining face.
Prior to joining Oniqua in 2005, Lindsay worked for Oracle Inc., where he was a consultant for the Enterprise Asset Management unit, and also for Mincom, where he served as the vice president and practice manager of mining for the Americas.
