NEW YORK, NY, April 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) The esteemed John Fareri will be honored for his dedicated fight against cancer at the 2nd Annual Team Trinity/Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Benefit on Friday night, May 10, 2013 at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, N.Y. The announcement was made today by banquet chairperson Eileen Mannion Collum.
The banquet will be held in the "Good Time Room" on the casino's third floor. Cocktail hour will be held from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, followed by dinner and dancing from 8:00 pm - 12:00 am.

John Fareri was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. John currently resides in Greenwich, CT, with his wife Brenda. John is President and CEO of Fareri Associates, a Real Estate Development Company in Greenwich, CT. John is a Board member of the First Bank of Greenwich and a Trustee at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Foundation
The Fareris are best known for their extraordinary philanthropy with Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York. After the unexpected tragic death of their youngest daughter Maria in 1995, they were inspired to build a world-class children's hospital in her honor. As part of a school project, Marie had made a special wish "For the health and well-being of all the children of the world." Guided by her wish, John and Brenda worked tirelessly on her behalf. They lead the design and creation of the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital as a "family centered" hospital where all family members are involved in their child's treatment, care and well-being. The hospital opened in 2004 and currently serves over 20,000 children annually.
The name "Team Trinity" was developed when Eileen Collum Mannion was asked by the Westchester Chapter for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to be one of their Champions of Hope. Though the challenge was daunting, it was still one that could be accomplished by assembling a group of Irish & Irish-Americans with a great desire to help.
In conjunction with the banquet, a souvenir journal will be published and raffles will be held throughout the evening to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (Deadline for receipt of ads and payment for tables is April 25, 2013).
