Josh Umbehr, MD Considered a "Top Doc" in 2013 by Concierge Medicine Today (CMT)

Dr. Josh Umbehr makes CMT's "Top Docs" list in the field of concierge medicine and direct primary care.

2013-04-06
WICHITA, KS, April 06, 2013 (Press-News.org) CMT announced yesterday that, after careful review, Josh Umbehr, MD of AtlasMD is one of fourteen (14) Top Docs in concierge medicine, direct primary care and private medical practices in the United States.

CMT chooses only a few select physicians in the concierge medicine and/or direct pay business model environment who meet the criteria to qualify as a "Top Doc." In 2012, sixteen (16) doctors were chosen to receive this honor. In prior years, even fewer. The criteria evaluated for recognition includes but is not limited to educational efforts, patient ratings/reviews, innovative services/marketing, activity in social media networks, and more.

Josh Umbehr is a personal care physician practicing at AtlasMD. He believes anyone wishing for "the good old days where your doctor did house calls and treated you like a respected individual...[will] be thrilled to join AtlasMD." His goal is to create a patient-physician relationship as a team of equals with a single focus to help patients reach their health care goals. With admitted success, AtlasMD has recently brought on a third practitioner, Michael Palomino MD, to offer Umbehr's idea of personalized service to an expanding market.

CMT Editor-in-chief Tetreault said yesterday, "We, at CMT, are happy that physicians are having such great success with their business models and look forward to seeing them grow in the months and years ahead."

Nearly a decade ago Editor-In-Chief Michael Tetreault created Concierge Medicine Today to fill an information void he found when he began researching concierge medicine and retainer-based medicine in Atlanta, GA. With his background in public relations, journalism and healthcare advocacy, Michael went on to create Concierge Medicine Canada and The Concierge Medicine Research Collective as well.

AtlasMD is Wichita's first concierge medical practice, a pattern of family health care that is immediate, thorough, comprehensive, specific, easily affordable, and very, very personal. Dr. Josh Umbehr & Dr. Doug Nunamaker work diligently to change the face of family medicine to one that is uniquely focused on the patient. With incredible success, they are proud to welcome Michael Palomino, MD to their dedicated and growing team.
