VENICE, FL, April 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) German natives Jan and Karin Heitmann have joined RE/MAX Alliance Group in the Venice office.
After vacationing in Florida for many years, they moved to the Venice area 13 years ago. Both have extensive sales and customer service experience, and hold the Short Sales and Foreclosure (SFR) designation.
Jan Heitmann, a Broker-Associate with five years of real estate experience, has a background in pharmaceutical/clinic sales. He traveled throughout the European Union for 15 years as a representative for GlaxoSmithKline. He has also worked as a resort manager on Siesta Key and as an operations manager for a hurricane shutter company.
Raised in Büsum, Germany, Jan has a Master's Degree in Science from the University of Kiel, following in his father's footsteps to teach high school biology and English as a second language. During his collegiate career, he taught German at two schools in Sheffield, England.
Karin Heitmann, a Realtor with 10 years of real estate experience, also spent 15 years as a pharmaceutical sales representative. A native of Konstanz, Germany, she worked for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, traveling Europe to represent the company at medical conventions.
She started her real estate career working for a Bradenton, Florida builder. She was also an immigration assistant at a law firm in Sarasota. Realizing that financing plays an important role in real estate transactions, Karin decided to obtain her mortgage broker's license to better assist her customers in securing financing.
