BILBAO, SPAIN, October 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) If people want to introduce more culture to their holiday in Bilbao, they could see a stunning production of Giselle by the Lyon Opera Ballet.
Hotel Bilbao guests have an opportunity to see one of the classic romantic ballet pieces performed in a city that has emerged as a modern centre of cultural activity.
There will be only two shows taking place at the Teatro Arriaga, with the magic starting at 20:00 and 19:00 local time on November 20th and 21st respectively.
The venue is full of praise for the Lyon Opera Ballet, describing how the company have established a worldwide reputation for boasting exceptional talent.
Giselle, which was first performed in 1841 in Paris, is a piece in two acts that tells the story of a peasant girl who is killed, but whose ghost protects the man she was in love with.
With such a beautiful story told by a talented group, it will be hard for visitors not to be carried away by this romantic tale.
"It combines all of the elements of the new aesthetic and philosophical trend of the first half of the 19th century - the dreamlike and the unreal invading literature, theatre, opera and dance, in opposition to the ordinary, overly materialistic world," explained the organisers.
Tickets for the shows cost between EUR9.60 (GBP8.50) and EUR38, depending on where people want to sit.
For more information on this event visit the Teatro Arriaga website or contact the venue on +34 944 310 310.
