2013-04-12
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA, April 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) SmartAVI, Inc., a world-leading innovator of digital signage and audiovisual signal distribution, extension, and switching, has unveiled today its latest family of HD Multiviewers with the new HDMV-Plus HDMI KVM switch. HDMV-Plus can simultaneously monitor up to four different HD sources while maintaining maximum resolutions on a single screen. With USB keyboard and mouse support, HDMV-Plus can manage all input devices using a single set of KVM controls, offering greater flexibility for KVM management.

HDMV-Plus is perfect for monitoring multiple real-time devices such as HDTV, DVD players, cameras, and computers without having to switch between individual HD sources. The USB ports equipped in each HDMV-Plus allow access to all four devices through one set of KVM controls. It is the ideal solution for situations where a user needs to monitor several sources from a central location. Connections to video sources are managed via HDMI connectors with the added capability of supporting DVI-D sources. Advanced monitoring options include quad-mode, full-screen mode, and PIP (picture in picture) mode.

HDMV-Plus was created by SmartAVI to meet the growing demand of its loyal customers for a multiviewing solution. "We are paving the way for this new way of viewing multiple HD video sources," said Albert Cohen, lead engineer at SmartAVI. "HDMV-Plus was made to make our customers' multiviewing experience pleasant and reliable, without worrying about strict protocols like HDCP."
