FORT MYERS, FL, April 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) For those who are aspiring makeup artists, or just enthusiastic about makeup, makeup artist Sherita Leslie will be holding two workshops- Makeup 101 and the Makeup Business 101 on the weekend of Saturday, April 27-28, 2013 in Nashville, TN. These workshops will cover everything from the basics to how to start you career as a freelance makeup artist.
Makeup 101 is designed to teach you the skills necessary to create the looks that are required in today's industry. The class will be a maximum of 10 students. Classes are kept small so that you may receive individualized attention and you may have your questions easily answered. Some of the topics that will be covered in Makeup 101 are: Sanitation, understanding tools of the trade , skin preparation, foundation application, learning how to highlight and contour, learning how to apply lashes, watch demo's on various skin tones, and receive hands on training. Makeup Business 101-Getting Started Freelancing is designed for those who have always wanted to freelance as a makeup or hair artist but had no idea how. This class will give you the tools and secrets to start your career working in TV, music, film and with magazines. Some of the topics that will be covered in Makeup Business 101 are: How to build a portfolio, learn how to get paid properly, how to get signed by an agency, what is expected of an assistant, learn how to create a booming bridal business, and find out what a typical day on set is like. Sherita Leslie will also help you setup a game plan to start freelancing.
