WICHITA, KS, April 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Michael Palomino will begin practicing direct medicine at AtlasMD on May 6th, 2013. He will be the third doctor seeing patients at the Wichita, Kansas-based facility, joining founder Josh Umbehr, M.D. and Dr. Doug Nunamaker.
Dr. Michael Palomino was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and graduated from Northwest High School in Wichita. He attended Wichita State University on an academic scholarship where he graduated summa cum laude in chemical science. He attended The University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his doctorate in 2007 followed by residency training at Wesley Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Kansas Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. In 2010, he became the sole practitioner of traditional family medicine clinic through Wesley Medical Center.
Dr. Palomino says he "chose family medicine because it allows [him] to be closely connected to families and build long-lasting relationships."
According to their company website, AtlasMD limits its practice to approximately 500 patients per doctor to "give patients essentially unlimited access to [their physician]." Founder Josh Umbehr, M.D. stated on the site that, "We're very excited to add Dr. Michael to our established team so that we can continue to provide innovative care to our members."
