Is the Media the Message or the News?

With ever-changing technology and virtual platforms, the media and publishing industry is evolving. The double entendre for newsmakers is that they are reporting the news and are the newsmakers at the same time.

2013-04-13
MIAMI, FL, April 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) Starting April 19th, Cynthia K Seymour and Debbie Elicksen will launch on Google Hangouts: Virtual Newsmakers -- a weekly webcast show featuring virtual newsmakers, who are bridging traditional and digital communications and empowering human communications through technology. The show will air on Fridays at Noon EST (9:00 AM PST).

Virtual Newsmakers will highlight people who are using technology as a conversation to bring communications to a human level and who are making things happen between traditional and digital communications.

Some of the aspects of the show will be to bridge alternate communications media (digital and traditional), create a new vocabulary, and bring the world together with human interactions.

The show kicks off on April 19 with Rebranding: Time for a Graphic Refresh and the Importance of Updating Online Profiles with graphic designer and illustrator Mike Searle and guests.

The second show on April 26th will feature Chris Brogan, founder of Human Business Works. We will be discussing the topic: Connected vs Disconnected: How entrepreneurs can maintain a healthy state of mind in a noisy, technology-driven world.

May 3 will take viewers into Virtual Travel and discuss what happens when national network news and social media collaborates. Photographer John Butterill of Virtual Photo Walks: Opening a World of Wonders to those in Isolation will join the show with a service veteran plus Anthony Galloway from NBC.

Richard Botto, the founder of Stage 32, a social community for the film and theater industry will talk about creating niche communities and how to keep them engaged on May 10.

Martin Shervington will be featured on May 31st, to discuss Building Virtual Relationships and an Audience: the 30-Day Circle Centric Marketing Challenge.

Former National Lacrosse League star Jim Moss will inspire us with how The Smile Epidemic has created a wave of virtual smiles throughout the globe on June 14.
