New Ambulance Added to FDIC 2013 Lineup

Braun Ambulances will be featuring a Chief XL on a 2013 International TerraStar chassis from St. Johns Fire Rescue Division in St. Augustine, Florida.

VAN WERT, OH, April 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) Custom ambulance manufacturer, Braun Industries, announced Friday that they are replacing one of their customer units with a different vehicle at the upcoming FDIC 2013. The Navistar booth, #5345, will now feature a Braun ambulance from St. Johns Fire Rescue Division.

The St. Johns Fire Rescue Division ambulance is a Chief XL on a 2013 International TerraStar chassis. The ambulance is a 166" module with 72" of headroom. It features a Whelen LED lighting package, Vanner Inverter 20-1050CUL, aluminum cabinets, custom 02 storage, transverse background storage, Norcold fridge unit, and Hanson interior assist handles.

The 2013 International TerraStar it's built on has a 183" wheelbase. The custom chassis features an ambulance prep package. The chassis also includes an Allison 1000 EVS, IROS rear suspension, OEM installed Grover air horns, OEM aluminum wheels, and 18,000 lbs GVWR.

Braun Industries is extremely thankful for the cooperation of St. Johns County in lending their ambulance to them on such short notice. The Fire Rescue Division handles all calls for emergency medical services and events involving fire suppression activities in St. Johns County by St. Augustine, Florida. Response is separated into six geographical districts, with personnel divided between three 24 hours shifts. The department's local Braun ambulance dealer is Ten-8 Fire Equipment.
