CARY, NC, April 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) Local nonprofit Horse and Buddy will hold its 8th annual Sequins and Spurs Gala on May 3 to raise money to benefit its therapeutic horseback riding program for children and adults with special needs. The event will be held at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Not only will this year's gala serve great food and feature incredible auction items, it will also feature a photo booth to capture memories made throughout the night. Capital City Groove Crew will provide entertainment for the evening.
In addition to these highlights, two lucky families will receive one free year of horseback riding through a raffle sponsored by Picasso Pawn and Oriana Stables with the J and B Thomas/Zahn fund. Raffle tickets can be purchased online, and winners need not be present to win.
"We experience such a surge of happiness when we are able to provide joy for our riders. This year's gala will raise money to continue our efforts in enabling therapeutic services to our members," said Janet Haithcox, executive director of Horse and Buddy.
Cary Magazine recently named Horse and Buddy as its Cary Magazine Gives Back charity partner for 2013, and is working closely with the organization to build awareness for its programs and events.
Gala tickets are priced at $100 and can be purchased through the website at http://www.horseandbuddy.org/gala.htm. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For additional information, please visit http://www.horseandbuddy.org/index.htm or call (919) 367-7740.
