David J Cooper Talks about AIDS in New Book The Party's Over.Author David J Cooper grew up in a working class family in the West Midlands, England. He served as a member of Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council from 1980 to 1981. He moved to Brixham, south Devon in 1988. He moved to Mexico in 1998 and became involved with people suffering from AIDS. Now he taps that experience in his new book which talks about what happened to one of his friends who refused to accept that he had the disease. The book is entitled "The Party's Over" and is written from personal experience.
David drew from his experiences with these people to come up with the idea of writing the book. "My personal experience is unique," the author said. "You just put the experience into a story about people suffering from this disease and readers can understand what happens to those close to them."
David was also inspired to write the book by one of his friends who is HIV+. "I don't think I could have written it without his help. Now I've made that happen."
The book captures the heartbreak of the people and close friends and families of the victims who suffer. The book has its serious side, but shows a lighter side as well.
David J Cooper has written 6 books including "Diana, A Lady In Waiting." He lives in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico with his dog, Chula.
AIDS is not a death sentence anymore.
