LOS ANGELES, CA, April 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) THE VOICE's Kim Yarbrough breaks out like gangbusters with her debut single, "Brand New Day [Strong Enough]," a gospel-tinged celebration about life, love, and happiness, which all can come to pass by wiping the slate clean and making a fresh start.
This project is an event, bringing together most of producer/director Rick Gianatos' favorite singers and actors including Duane Avery, Pattie Brooks, Charlo Crossley, Danny DeLoyd, Theresa Ford, Jim Gilstrap, Celeste Jefferson, Ernie Jefferson, Trina Lykes, Cynthia Manley, Marvin Mathews, Perry Moore, Scherrie Payne, Pamela Vincent, and Joyce Vincent.
Kim competed in the second season of The Voice. After having 2 judges turn around in the blind audition, she chose Adam Levine as her coach. In the battle rounds she sang "No More Drama" with fellow team-mate Whitney Meyer. After the battle, Kim was crowned the winner. Overall in the competition, she came in 18th Place out of 48 contestants.
Not just a vocal talent, Kim began acting at the age of 8. She has appeared on a number of major TV series, including "Bones," "Dexter," "Conan," "Sonny with a Chance," and "The Defenders." Kim has appeared in the TV Movies "Dad's Home" and "Grace," and appeared in the short "Mushroom Pizza." Recently, Kim co-starred in episodes of "Vegas", "Hollywood Heights", and "2 Broke Girls". Kim will also be playing a recurring role as Madame Labuef on the new Nickelodeon television series, "The Haunted Hathaways," and is currently working on a movie called "Somewhere Slow."
