DOYLESTOWN, PA, April 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) Sauers Tree & Landscape Service Inc., of Dresher, Pa, will be holding their 4th annual Strike Out Cancer bowling fundraiser on May 11th. Since 2010, Sauers has been hosting the event to help raise money for family, friends, clients and people of the community who have been affected by cancer and to support ongoing research through the American Cancer Society.
Stephanie Sauers-Boyd, co-owner of Sauers Tree & Landscape Service Inc., started the Strike Out Cancer fundraiser with support from her family, their business and other local business partners. She has been involved with the Relay for Life since she was 12 years old after her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"I started the fundraiser in 2010 with the help of family and friends in an effort to raise money for the Relay for Life which I am heavily involved with. Raising money for cancer is important to all of us because of family and friends affected by this disease."
Stephanie is also the chair for this year's Eastern Montgomery County Relay for Life. This is the second year of her 2-year commitment as chairperson for the event. The position is responsible for planning and organizing the efforts of staff, volunteers, and sponsors to hold a successful American Cancer Society fundraising event in 2012 and 2013. Stephanie was nominated for this role based on demonstrated leadership, planning, and organizing skills through prior participation in the Relay for Life fundraiser and in the planning and organization of the successful Strike Out Cancer bowling fundraiser. This year's Eastern Montgomery County Relay for Life will take place at the Hatboro Horsham High School from 9:00 am, June 14th until 9:00 am, June 15th. All community members, friends, and family are welcome to attend and get involved.
The family fundraising "bowlathon" will be held at the Brunswick Zone XL, located at 100 East Street Road in Feasterville, Pa, from 6:30 until 9:30 pm. Check-in for bowling starts at 6:00 pm and Cosmic Bowling starts at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $30 per person, which include: three hours of bowling, pizza, soda and one raffle ticket. Children who are four years old and younger bowl for free. There will also be baked goods, raffle baskets and prizes for the best players of the night.
Sauers Tree & Landscape Service Inc. is a family-owned and operated company that provides all facets of tree care, commercial snow and ice management and commercial landscape maintenance.
