Business Valuation Expert Serves as Judge for Business Plan Competition

David E. Coffman CPA served as a judge for the 2013 Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone Venture Plan Competition

BLOOMSBURG, PA, April 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) David E. Coffman served as a judge for the 2013 Venture Plan Competition held by the Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone (GSKIZ). The competition included business plans submitted by students from Bloomsburg University, Bucknell University, Luzerne County Community College, and Susquehanna University. The winners were: first place - Vast Frontier Innovations (Bloomsburg University); second place - POSH Prom Rentals (Susquehanna University); and third place - Agua (Bucknell University).

The Greater Susquehanna KIZ is a partnership made up of: The Innovation Center of Central PA, Inc.; Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania; Bucknell University; Susquehanna University; Geisinger Health System (Through Geisinger Ventures); Ben Franklin Technology Partners Northeast PA; and Cherokee Pharmaceuticals

The Keystone Innovation Zone covers five counties with several locations or sub-zones. KIZ sub-zones are located in: Danville, Lewisburg/Montandon, Bloomsburg that includes the Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center, and Selinsgrove. KIZ clients who are located in one of these locations may be eligible to receive benefits through the KIZ program.

David E. Coffman is Founder, President and CEO of Business Valuations & Strategies PC in Harrisburg, PA and NJ Business Valuations in Seaside Park, NJ. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who is also Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He specializes exclusively in business valuation and has valued over 375 small businesses since 1997. After graduating from Bloomsburg University in 1976, Coffman spent 20 years primarily in public accounting doing accounting and tax work for small businesses.
