The 2013 selection marks the sixth time Mr. Godwin has earned selection to D Magazine's list of the city's best lawyers in recognition for his work in business litigation matters. Mr. Godwin currently represents Halliburton as the lead trial attorney in the ongoing civil trial in New Orleans concerning the 2010 BP Macondo oil well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico.
