NEW YORK, NY, April 30, 2013 (Press-News.org) Michael Schacker's new book, Global Awakening: New Science and the 21st Century Enlightenment (Inner Traditions, 2013) is the subject of the Online with Andrea Internet radio program Tuesday, May 7, at 4:30 pm PT, and 7:30 pm ET, for two hours at
blogtalkradio.com/onlinewithandrea/2013/05/07/global-awakening. Michael Schacker recently suffered a stroke, and will be present for a few minutes to offer thoughts based on 30 years of his intensive research on the history of change.
Schacker's life-long colleagues, Stephen Larsen, PhD, award-winning author and Psychology Professor Emeritus, SUNY Ulster, New York, and librarian Barbara Dean Schacker, MLS, will be interviewed about the book and his work for the remainder of the the live radio show. The call in number is (347)426-3895. The program will be archived for future listening at onlinewithandrea.com 24 hours after the show airs.
Schacker's book explains the shift from a mechanistic worldview to a new organic worldview based on biological models following the same pattern as other paradigm shifts across history including the 18th century Enlightenment and the American Revolution. We are, according to Schacker, currently in the throes of the Flip Point, the critical last phase of our paradigm shift. Schacker sees, despite the current global crisis, a positive view for the planet.

A strategic consultant and writer in the field of regenerative agriculture, he is the author of A Spring Without Bees. He lives in Woodstock, NY.
