A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Richardson received his Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Masters of Science in information technology and management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
