SANTA ROSA, CA, May 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) Have you been injured by your dentist? It is a fact that the majority of the dentists that practice today are skilled and ethical. It is also a fact that there is also enough substandard dentistry performed every day in the United States that I found the need to create The Dental Legal Connection. Our business is here to serve an injured party in answering their questions about dentistry in general, review the quality of their dental work and evaluate the extent of their injury. If necessary we will then guide them to an attorney we know is experienced in handling dental malpractice cases.
When a dental patient suspects that they are a victim of substandard dentistry, where do they turn for help? They have already been victimized once. Do they want to repeat their frustration by hiring the wrong attorney? Unfortunately the patient has no way of determining if the attorney they are considering is truly competent , ethical, and experienced in handling dental malpractice .The patient also has no idea if their injury is severe enough to have an attorney want to take on their case. Dental malpractice is expensive for the attorney to work up and unfortunately the damage must be great enough that the attorney can consider taking on their case. We can help lead them through those difficult choices.
For attorneys the Dental Legal Connection can be utilized as a way to screen clients for all the reasons just stated above. With referrals to our site we will be able to screen the patient for the attorney and do the work for them. This ultimately means giving them the right cases to handle.
Over the course of a 35 year career in dentistry I have delivered dentistry of the highest standards to my patients. I have also, on numerous occasions, been retained to give my opinion as an expert witness in cases involving malpractice. After giving confused and frustrated patients a second opinion on the quality of their dental work, I have also often referred them to an experienced attorney to begin a malpractice case against their former dentist .With the advent of "Cosmetic Dentistry " and "Implant Dentistry" the magnitude of failure and damage can be much greater. This also means that when the dentistry does fail it is extremely costly to correct. In turn, when a patient finally identifies that there is a problem the frustration and sense of betrayal is also magnified. It is clear that there is a huge need for this unique service.
I look forward to The Dental Legal Connection helping patients seek a trusted and credible appraisal of their dental work and put them in contact with honest and skilled dental malpractice attorneys to achieve proper retribution for their injuries.

Spring brings more traffic and a higher chance of truck accidents on busy Alabama roads
2013-05-02
Spring is in full swing across Alabama. The sun is bright, flowers are blooming, grass is growing and planning has begun for summer vacations. While there is obvious joy at seeing the end of a dismal winter season, warmer temperatures also mean more people traveling on already busy roadways, and an increased chance for truck accidents.
Even though semi-truck traffic remains fairly constant throughout the year, the spring and summer months bring with them a sharp uptick in the number of cars, light trucks, motorcycles and bicyclists hitting the road, all of which can ...
Less time with patients is main cause of primary care misdiagnoses
2013-05-02
In many areas of business, efficiency is a laudable goal. However, the same cannot always be said in healthcare, where a person's life is potentially at stake. Despite this, many doctors are under pressure from insurance companies to see as many patients in a day as possible, which severely limits the amount of time a doctor can devote to each patient. According to a recent study, this limitation puts patients at risk, as it increases the risk of a physician error in the diagnosis.
In the study, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, researchers looked at medical records ...
Study: physician time pressures the cause of primary care misdiagnoses
2013-05-02
For better or worse, it is a familiar goal in business today to do more with less. According to a recent study, when it comes to healthcare, such an attitude is definitely worse. The study, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, found that primary care doctors often do not have enough time to spend enough time with their patients. As a result, this raises the probability of a misdiagnosis and causes overall patient care to suffer.
Researchers in the study reviewed medical records of 212,165 office visits over the course of a year to 69 physicians and healthcare professionals ...
