COSTA MESA, CA, May 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) Cathy Debes, a lifelong fitness enthusiast, competed in several bodybuilding competitions and placed in each event over the last three years. She embodies the lifelong fitness objectives that Relay Fitness Group hopes to encourage with products like the Evo Fitness Bike. The company has sponsored Cathy to test the workout effectiveness of both the Evo Fitness Bike and the TriCore Indoor Cycling training program.
"Cycling is one of the most effective ways to burn calories and fat in the shortest amount of time," said Cathy Debes. "Having trained with weights and cardio for many years, I know a thing or two on how to achieve the body you want."
Cathy started to compete in 2010, placing 2nd in her first competition at the age of 48. Her commitment to natural training and fitness over her entire lifetime assisted her in achieving this feat. These same attributes interested the creators of the Evo Fitness Bike since it was designed to cater to the functional training needs of users at any age.
Unlike typical indoor cycles, the Evo Fitness Bike's frame rocks like a real bicycle. Whether you realize it or not, your core muscles and upper body are used when you ride a bike outdoors. They help to stabilize and balance your body while you pedal. Cycling professionals are able to use this rocking motion to counter-sway the bike, throwing more power into the pedals when they climb hills or perform all-out sprints. To see this motion, simply watch the next Tour de France and pay attention to how their bikes move when they stand.
To complement the unique swaying frame of the Evo Fitness Bike, the company partnered with Iron Man and gym owner Jack Nunn to create the TriCore Indoor Cycling Program. The rocking motion of the indoor cycle offered Jack, an avid triathlete and Iron Man competitor, the opportunity to safely train for competition while also giving him the natural feel of an outdoor cycle. He used his competitive experience and the sway motion of the bike to create a new certification (to be approved as continuing education by AFAA in mid-2013) and workout DVD called TriCore Indoor Cycling released in 2012.
Cathy Debes will be performing a baseline physical fitness test prior to starting the 28-day workout program featured on the TriCore Indoor Cycling DVD. She will be keeping a detailed journal of the program and will test her results again after it is completed. She will also be writing a detailed review of both the TriCore program and the Evo Fitness Bike.
"I have seen the Evo Fitness Bike in various social media sites and have always wanted to experience it," stated Cathy Debes. "I look forward to teaming up with Relay Fitness Group and promoting an indoor cycle bike that is totally different from the rest. More good things to follow."
