COSTA MESA, CA, May 09, 2013 (Press-News.org) Ryan Olson, competitive triathlete and long term endurance athlete, has been sponsored by Relay Fitness Group to test and endorse the Evo Fitness Bike. The Evo Fitness Bike, which features a unique swaying frame, is ideally suited for triathletes looking to enhance their full body conditioning levels while training indoors.
"I am currently working through the TriCore Program which uses the Evo Fitness Bike. The goal is to increase my strength, endurance, and balance which all will benefit me as a triathlete," said Ryan Olson. "I am sharing my journey in hopes of inspiring people to do the same. Now that I am reaching my goals, I am looking forward to helping you reach your goals as well!"
There are a number of reasons that triathletes and endurance athletes like to train indoors. For one, enhancing your cycling performance in your home means you don't have the danger of riding outdoors. According to a study done by the U.S. Department of Transportation, there were 51,000 reported bicycle injuries and 630 fatalities on the roads of the United States in 2009. With competitive triathletes riding hundreds, if not thousands of miles each week, the chances of being added to this statistic become very real.
In addition, using an indoor cycle allows users to vary the intensity and difficulty on demand, rather than requiring a proper course, good weather, and ideal traffic conditions when they ride outdoors. Ryan Olson was interested in both of these things when he first tried the Evo Fitness Bike at the Race on the Base Reverse Triathlon event in April 2013.
Ryan Olson has competed in triathlons since he started as a youth in 1987. After several years of competition through high school and college, Ryan left the competitive scene in 1994. Following a dramatic physical transformation after 20 years of sedentary living, Ryan re-entered competition in the Castaic Lake Sprint Triathlon in 2012, placing 3rd in his age group (35-39) and 19th overall.
"Imagine being able to do something that you loved so much after 20 years of inactivity and having the chance to do it well and be competitive," stated Ryan Olson. "Now I have the opportunity to try new systems and programs to improve my performance."
Ryan Olson is testing the full commercial version of the Evo Fitness Bike called the Evo cx, alongside Iron Man Jack Nunn's TriCore Indoor Cycling program. Before starting the 28-day workout program, Ryan completed a physical performance test which he will conduct again after the cycle is finished; his training results will be posted online.
The full commercial Evo cx and light commercial Evo ix models are available through the Relay Fitness Group's dealer network. For additional information about the Evo Fitness Bike or Relay Fitness Group, visit http://www.relayfitness.com.
