Client SportsDirect News Goes From Strength to Strength With Social Media Marketing From FoundUB4
2013-05-15
KENT, ENGLAND, May 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Much of the credit for the swelling user volumes has been attributed to SportsDirect's affiliation with FoundUB4, a social media consultancy founded and directed by Barrie Le Gall and based in Kent. Through highly-targeted Twitter, Google+ and Facebook marketing campaigns, SportsDirect has seen its news service grow in scale.

"We're thrilled to be involved with so major a client," stated a spokesperson for FoundUB4. "We're not shocked by the success of our social media campaigns at all: this sort of boom in user traffic is exactly what we expect to see."

"We know that a company's social media presence impacts how they're perceived online more than anything else, and are glad to help SportsDirect to drive higher unique visit figures through improving their status online."

Over the past fourteen years, FoundUB4 - and founder Barrie La Gall - have worked with many premium-brand companies to drive users to their services. Among them are Schwarzkopf, Coca-Cola, Nerf, Right Guard and Sennheiser. SportsDirect News are the latest to benefit from their social media expertise.

SportsDirect News was launched very recently, after the high-street and online retailer signed a deal with media provider My London News. The new product comes on the back of extremely strong SportsDirect stock performance in the past year, with sales up 14.3% year-on-year and rising share values, despite the current economic adversity.

SportsDirect recognise the increasing importance of the Internet: the rising popularity of SportsDirect.com has meant that 15% of their sales occur online.

The partnership with FoundUB4 intends to strengthen this online presence via integration with social media: something that seems to be delivering strongly in these early stages.
