Federal Advanced Technologies Symposium on Thursday, May 9 at the McKimmon Center at NC State University. Hosted by U.S. Sen. Richard Burr, the North Carolina Military Business Center, the North Carolina Military Foundation, the University of North Carolina, and the Institute for Defense and Business, the Federal Advanced Technologies Symposium focused on the future of advanced technology needs for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies that have a presence in the state. The symposium attracted more than 270 participants from businesses and research organizations across North Carolina.
Durso served as a panelist to discuss Aerospace and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems. These systems combine modern materials, advanced sensors, and networking technologies to offer breakthrough capabilities to the warfighter, including rapid force deployment, intelligence collection, and payload delivery. Durso is part of the LORD team that developed LORD UltraConductive films and coatings for lightning strike protection of composite structures.
