KENT, ENGLAND, May 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) The event, which will run from 10am till 2pm, comprises interactive sessions, customer case studies and an informative talk, 'A reliable plant is a safe plant is a cost effective plant,' from Andrew Fraser, which will demonstrate the link between plant reliability, safety and cost-effectiveness. "Most accidents occur in reactive situations," he explains. "When a plant is running well, with high asset utilisation, there are fewer failures to react to. A key facet of a reliable plant is less reactive maintenance."
The London event is part of Softsols nationwide roadshow calendar, and follows the success of its Wetherby event in March. Fraser, who also spoke at the Wetherby event, says: "Planned maintenance is the driving force behind a successful organisation. By providing a real-time overview of your assets, work orders and planned schedules, Agility software aids the process."
He emphasises true reliability also demands a cultural change: "It must become part of the day-to-day running of the business with everyone involved at all levels eliminating thousands of small defects that are the root causes of unplanned events. By putting reliability at the top of the agenda, organisations will reduce the need for reactive maintenance, so cutting the number of injuries and reducing maintenance repair costs."
Softsols is an industry leader in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM). Its Agility software was recently voted 'Software Product of the Year' by Engineering and Maintenance in Industry magazine. Its latest version, Agility 5 was released earlier this year.
Event attendees will get the opportunity to see the new Agility 5 software in action, learn about the benefits of a professionally managed implementation programme, and to network with other industry professionals.
Softsols has two further roadshow events scheduled for later in 2013, one in Coventry and the other in Cambridge. To find out more about these or the London event visit: http://www.softsolsgroup.com/more/events/
