Avid Speeds Into The May Editors' Lounge With Accelerated Workflows

Attendees will have the chance to get an up-close look at all the new features and latest gear from Avid.

2013-05-15
BURBANK, CA, May 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Whether you attended NAB this year, or couldn't make it, you won't want to miss this month's Editors' Lounge where attendees will have the chance to get an up-close look at all the new features and latest gear from Avid. Product designers and managers of Media Composer and Sphere are coming from the Massachusetts office to give demonstrations throughout the evening and will be available to answer questions. Special date for the event will be Friday, May 17 at AlphaDogs Post Production 1612 W. Olive Ave, Suite 200, Burbank, CA 91506 beginning at 6:30 pm. RSVP is required to attend the event.

Post-production professionals will see first-hand how Avid Media Composer 7 accelerates high-res workflows with Avid FrameFlex and gives full creative control of image framing. Time-consuming transcoding and resizing are eliminated with the FrameFlex tool. The new LUT support permits editors to adjust the color on source media to adjust for new camera file formats. Improvements in audio include the new direct clip gain and master audio fader where you can adjust gain on a specific clip, independent of track-based automation.

Pro Tools 11 is now more powerful than ever with turbocharged 64-bit performance. Faster-than-real-time bounce capabilities delivers audio mixes with lightening fast speeds of up to 150 times faster than real-time. New built-in metering standards give a variety of scale and ballistics options in delivery of higher sound quality. The built-in Avid Video Engine allows audio post-professionals to play and edit a wide range of HD video format, the same as in Media Composer.

The new Automated Media Management saves time by using Dynamic Media Folders. Editors can keep working while copying, consolidating, and transcoding tasks are automated in the background. Sharing projects has gotten easier with the new Media Composer Interplay Sphere Edition where editors can edit, sync, and share projects worldwide via the Internet. Editors can now work safely from anywhere equipped with the ability to move between location sites and production facilities.

The Editors' Lounge offers the opportunity to learn from post-production industry peers and networking with new and old friends. The Lounge opens at 6:30 pm with presentations beginning at 7:00 pm. RSVP is required to attend. The price of admission is to bring your favorite beverage. Editors' Lounge will provide the food.

About the Editors' Lounge: The Editors' Lounge is a hands-on seminar for industry professionals.
