New augmented reality mobile application called "Picmure", for all of those who enjoy photography and want to try a new and "augmented" way to take and share their pictures.
MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY, May 17, 2013
The South American company Spiria is preparing the release of Picmure and is expected to be available half July.Picmure uses augmented reality to show you pictures that were taken at the exact same spot. But not just the Spot, Picmure saves the smartphone's orientation information to know where it's pointing at the moment when the photo is taken.
The Spiria CEO Julio Pintos highlights some of the implications of collecting of this information when the picture is taken and combine it with augmented reality, "Picmure allows and helps to reproduce the same picture in a different moment", "Users can recreate a picture or combine the old picture with the current reality into a new picture". Another interesting feature is the possibility to see, explore and learn how the world looked in the past, and how it has evolved.
All this is not only tied up to pictures taken with Picmure, users can import and use their old photos to bring back those special moments.
Picmure will be available for both iOS and Android users, currently they are working over a private beta version, and they encourage all interested users to subscribe to be part of the waiting list and become one of the first to get the free version.
