BEVERLY HILLS, CA, August 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) Renowned child acting coach Gary Spatz and his company, The Playground have been engaged in the production of Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer, a theatrical feature in active production by Smokewood Entertainment. Photography has started in Los Angeles.
Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer is based on the popular children's book series, which chronicle the humorous adventures of third-grader Judy Moody. There are eight titles in the series, with more than 12 million copies in print. Screenplay: Kathy Qaugh, Megan McDonald. Director: John Schultz (Aliens in the Attic, 2009, The Honeymooners, 2005). Starring: Heather Graham and Jennifer Korbee. Twelve-year-old Australian actress Jordana Beatty is playing the title role. Husband-and-wife team Sarah Siegel-Magness and Gary Magness are producing. The child actors are being coached by Gary Spatz of The Playground.
