LAGUNA BEACH, CA, May 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) gorjana & griffin has partnered with the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, launching the gorjana EBMRF Butterfly Collection and the griffin EBMRF Bracelets. The collections were inspired by the selfless love of a mother fighting to raise awareness for EB, a rare and debilitating genetic skin disorder affecting patients across the globe, including her own son.
"From the beginning our company has placed a great deal of importance on giving back," said CEO Jason Griffin Reidel. "We are thrilled to partner with a hardworking charity like the EBMRF and hope that sales from these collections can have a real impact in the fight for a cure for EB."
Life for children affected by this painful disorder is nothing short of difficult. Riding a bike, skating, or participating in sports is near impossible, as normal activities can cause chronic sores. Children with EB are often referred to as Butterfly Children because their skin is as fragile as a butterfly's wings.
The gorjana EBMRF Butterfly collection and the griffin EBMRF Bracelets were designed especially for the EBMRF, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the foundation.
About the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation
The EBMRF was established in 1991 by Gary & Lynn Fechser Anderson and became an LA based organization in 2004 after Paul & Andrea Joseph's son was born with EB. All work, including executive, development and administrative, is done on a volunteer basis.
