Royal Oaks Homes Named A 2012 Top Corporate Philanthropist

RALEIGH, NC, May 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) Royal Oaks Homes, LLC (http://www.royaloakshomes.com), an award-winning residential new homebuilder, has announced that the firm has been named one of the Triangle's 2012 top corporate philanthropists by Triangle Business Journal. Ranking among the top 25 leading philanthropic local companies, the publication recognizes companies by the dollar amount given throughout 2012. During the last year, Royal Oaks Homes contributed $50,000 and five months of building services to Operation: Coming Home, a nonprofit organization providing custom-built homes to disabled combat veterans and their families, as well as $14,550 to various other organizations in the Triangle, including NC State University, Triangle Pets Alive, Miracle League of the Triangle and Western Wake Crisis Ministry. The company secured the No. 21 spot in the listing.

Royal Oaks Homes has a history of philanthropic activity. It has served as the main builder for four of Operation: Coming Home's Hero Homes and assisted in its launch in 2008, when the firm signed up to partner with Atreus Homes and Communities to provide the first ever Hero Home. Year after year, the firm has continued to serve the organization by volunteering time and money toward the construction of almost every Hero Home, which include features such as wider doorways, customized kitchens and bathrooms, and lower counters and light switches to meet the special needs of injured veterans.
