Made For Summer and Made in the USA, Lauren Elaine Launches New 'Laine' Collection

Continuing a commitment to responsible fashion, Designer Lauren Elaine blends bohemian spirit and easy femininity into the lifestyle line from the USA made, women's ready-to-wear label.

2013-05-26
NEWPORT BEACH, CA, May 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) LA based, California-made women's label 'Lauren Elaine' announces the launch of the Summer 2013 'Laine by Lauren Elaine' collection. For the new collection, Designer Lauren Elaine Powell (Lauren Elaine) blends bohemian spirit into beachy, mermaid-inspired frocks in an array of luminous pastels and feminine textures. With a sweatshop-free commitment, and many pieces utilizing eco-friendly production practices and fabrications, the new 'Laine' summer 2013 collection continues the Lauren Elaine commitment to responsible fashion.

The 'Laine by Lauren Elaine' Summer 2013 collection features an array of ready-to-wear dresses and separates, with an emphasis on easy femininity and a carefree spirit. Inspired by late 60s and early 70s shapes, Designer Lauren Elaine imagined a collection well suited for both music festivals and resort destinations. A "shipwrecked" themed lookbook, highlighting the collection's swept-from-the-sea bohemian vibe is viewable at http://home.lauren-elainedesigns.com. As with the entire Lauren Elaine brand, the new 'Laine' collection is entirely made in the USA, and 100% sweatshop-free.

Originally known for her modern-day princess design aesthetic as reflected in the Lauren Elaine Black Label collection, Designer Lauren Elaine officially launched the 'Laine by Lauren Elaine' line in mid 2012 with a desire to offer a lower priced, more casual lifestyle line to the brand. "Being from California and living in Los Angeles plays a huge role in my design aesthetic," explains Elaine. "Before launching Laine, the Black Label offered red-carpet worthy, Hollywood looks, and the Lauren Elaine Swim line allowed me to design for the quintessential California beach bunny. However, I felt I was missing an in-between, a contemporary line suited for the everyday California Girl. And Laine is just that," says Elaine. "It's for the free spirit, the bohemian, the everyday California girl in everyone."

The Lauren Elaine brand debuted at LA Fashion Week in October 2009, and since, the label has graced the pages of such high profile publications as Vogue and Women's Wear Daily, and garnered a celebrity following on the red carpet. In 2010, Crystal Cruises hand-selected Designer Lauren Elaine to present the world's first runway show at a sea, and in September of 2011, America's Next Top Model featured both Lauren Elaine Swim and Black Label collections on Americas Next Top Model: All-Stars Edition.
