AUSTIN, TX, May 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Briggs Equipment is proud to announce the promotion of Chris Meinecke to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Briggs USA. Meinecke has been with Briggs for more than 22 years, the last three and half of which he has served as Chief Operating Officer of Briggs UK.

In his new role, Meinecke will be responsible for managing all US operations, growing the US business and building the Briggs brand across the country.

"Chris's extensive knowledge of sales, operations and the Briggs culture will be essential as we continue to successfully build the company and grow the Briggs brand," says Mike Winemiller, President, Briggs International. "His ability to build successful teams and drive sales will be instrumental in moving the company forward and creating long term partnerships with our customers."

Meinecke joined Briggs upon graduation from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991. Since then he has served in many roles including branch manager in the company's San Diego, Houston, New Orleans and Dallas offices and regional manager for the Briggs Inland Region.
