The lecture took place on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Florida Hospital East Orlando. The topic focused on medical staff credentialing, privileging and peer review.
Mr. Smith's presentation began by explaining medical staff bylaws, the process of peer review hearings and recommendations to health care professionals who face those hearings. He also addressed the federal and state laws that regulate the relationship between a hospital's medical staff and its governing body.
