Long Beach Entrepreneur Wins Readers' Choice for the MORE 2013 National Beauty Search Contest

Long Beach resident and business owner Wendy Manasse, 53, was selected the Readers' Choice in the MORE Magazine Beauty Search Contest.

2013-06-04
LOS ANGELES, CA, June 04, 2013 (Press-News.org) Long Beach resident and business owner Wendy Manasse, 53, was selected the Readers' Choice in the MORE Magazine Beauty Search Contest. With 1,137 votes received on the Internet, Manasse got the official news by phone on May 29th. As the Readers' Choice winner, Manasse will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

"I am thrilled and grateful for every single vote," says Manasse, who founded the lifestyle brand Quenchwear to help all women look and feel fabulous. "I had never entered a "beauty" contest before, but the topic of the MORE Beauty Search resonated strongly with my purpose." The contest asked participants to answer the question "Why Makes You More Beautiful Now Than Ever Before?"

"More importantly than my win, I am glad that women all over the country will get to read my "real beauty" story. My own definition of beauty has changed dramatically since my days in the fashion industry, and I hope that my story inspires more women to see beauty the way I now do: Beauty is about seeing, feeling and recognizing goodness. And that's what Quenchwear is all about."

About Wendy Manasse
Manasse is the founder of Quenchwear, a unique collection of women's apparel that blurs the line between waterwear, activewear and sportswear. A longtime resident of Long Beach, Manasse spent 20 years designing and merchandising women's swimwear for popular brands and private labels that included: Jantzen, Catalina, Anne Cole, Ralph Lauren, Cole of California and Victoria's Secret. Manasse left the corporate swimwear world and launched QuenchwearTM in May 2007 in Long Beach. Quenchwear is proudly designed and manufactured locally in the Los Angeles area. Manasse resides in Long Beach with her family.
