BOTHELL, WA, November 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) Guests of Elle Marie Hair Studio have recognized their salon as one of the best in Evening Magazine's "Best of Western Washington" contest on KING 5 TV for the third straight year. Following a fifth place finish in the Hair Salon category in 2008, Elle Marie moved up to fourth in 2009 and, once again, retained that number four spot in 2010. With so many nominees in each category, contest organizers consider reaching the top five to be a major accomplishment in the beauty industry, indicative of great service and highly trained stylists, and therefore recognize all five.
Elle Marie Hair Studio is proud to be the only salon to have finished in the top five the past three years. The beauty industry is dictated by fashion trends and this achievement hints of the Elle Marie styling team's ability to consistently stay ahead of the trends, keeping their guests in the most up-to-date hairstyles available.
After opening their doors in Mill Creek in August of 2006, Elle Marie was first recognized in the contest just two years later in 2008. As one of 95 salons nominated, Elle Marie received the fifth most of the 151,179 votes that year. In 2009 the competition doubled with 172 salons receiving 191,530 votes, yet Elle Marie proved their resilience by improving to a fourth place finish. In 2010 contest organizers provided nominees with a complete set of online marketing tools that ultimately resulted in the nomination of 208 salons and a huge increase in voter turnout to 402,855.
"When I saw the new marketing tools this year, I knew the competition would be stiff so I didn't exactly hold my breath on the contest results. I figured that with so much competition from popular urban salons and the increased popularity of the contest, a third top five finish would be difficult at best. I obviously underestimated our amazing team though whose wonderful and unique personalities and amazing styling talents have earned them some of the most loyal guests around. Those guests showed their support with their votes once again and we can't thank them enough," says co-owner Jody Bossert.
The Top 5 Finalists in each category are recognized on the contest website with Elle Marie Hair Studio appearing at http://best.king5.com/winners/best-of-western-washington/4779/beauty/ ... &view=List.
