Michael T. Gibson, P.A. Announces This Year's Scholar Athlete of the Month Award Winners

Scholarships awarded to Central Florida's Top High School Seniors who Excelled in Academics, Athletics and are actively involved in their Community

ORLANDO, FL, June 09, 2013 (Press-News.org) Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson of the Orlando-based personal injury law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A. (www.autojusticeattorney.com), is pleased to announce this year's winners of his firm's Scholar Athlete of the Month program. Student athletes Matthew Callahan of New Dimensions High School and Georgia Spence of Legacy High School each received a $2,000 scholarship check from the law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A.

"My firm started this scholarship program last year with the goal of awarding top Central Florida high school student athletes with scholarship money to attend college." said attorney Michael T. Gibson. "These two deserving individuals have maintained stellar grades, excelled in athletics and strengthened their communities through volunteer work and community service."

Callahan is the star goalie for his high school's soccer team and catcher for the baseball team. He is an officer in his high school's volunteer club, Interact, volunteering his time at Relay for Life, club service projects and canned food drives helping the homeless and the less fortunate. Spence maintains a 3.8 GPA and has aspirations of attending an Ivy League school with the help of scholarship money. She is a star softball player for Legacy High and an avid volunteer at West Oaks Summer Camp.

The Michael T. Gibson Scholar Athlete of the Month program recognizes Central Florida's top high school seniors who have excelled in academics, athletics and are actively involved in their community. The Scholar Athlete program highlights the achievements of one male and one female student athlete each month. At the end of the school year, winners are awarded a $2,000 scholarship check.
